In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Rk Roja of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Gali Bhanu Prakash of TDP by a margin of 2,708 votes which was 1.6% of the total votes cast. In 2014, R K Roja of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu of TDP by a margin of 858 votes which was 0.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu of TDP won this seat defeating Chenga Reddy Reddyvari of INC by a margin of 1,308 votes which was 0.93% of the total votes polled for the seat.
