There were a total of 2,16,867 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election, of which 1,06,429 were male, 1,10,421 female and 17 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 1,97,720 registered voters, of which 1,06,429 were male, 99,617 female and 10 of the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 2,03,743 registered voters in this constituency, of which 1,01,181 were male, 1,02,550 female and 12 of the third gender. In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Thoguru Arthur of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Bandi Jayaraju of TDP by a margin of 40,610 votes which was 23.54% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Isaiah Yakkaladevi of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Labbi Venkata Swamy of TDP by a margin of 21,814 votes which was 13.63% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Labbi Venkataswamy of INC won this seat defeating Chimme Bitchanna of TDP by a margin of 5,773 votes which was 4.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
