In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Appala Naidu Baddukonda of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Narayanaswamy Naidu Pathivada of TDP by a margin of 28,051 votes which was 15.81% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Narayana Swamy Naidu Pathivada of TDP was the winner in this seat beating P V V Suryanarayana Raju(Suresh Babu) of YSRCP by a margin of 6,973 votes which was 4.2% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Appalanaidu Baddukonda of INC won this seat defeating Narayanaswamy Naidu Pathivada of TDP by a margin of 597 votes which was 0.4% of the total votes polled for the seat.
