In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Chinthala Ramachandra Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Nallari Kishan Kumar Reddy of TDP by a margin of 7,874 votes which was 4.41% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Chinthala Ramachandra Reddy of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Nallari Kishan Kumar Reddy of JaSPa by a margin of 15,313 votes which was 9.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy of INC won this seat defeating Imtiyaz Ahmed Shaik of TDP by a margin of 9,132 votes which was 6.06% of the total votes polled for the seat.
