Demographic profile

There were a total of 2,27,856 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Pulivendula Assembly election, of which 1,11,227 were male, 1,16,610 female and 19 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 2,23,770 registered voters, of which 1,11,227 were male, 1,13,809 female and 16 of the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 2,25,212 registered voters in this constituency, of which 1,11,284 were male, 1,13,917 female and 11 of the third gender. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 1,86,446 which included 91,358 male, and 95,088 female.

In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Satish Reddy Singa Reddy of TDP by a margin of 90,110 votes which was 50.03% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Venkata Satish Kumar Reddy Singareddy of TDP by a margin of 75,243 votes which was 41.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Y S Raja Sekhar Reddy of INC won this seat defeating Venkata Satish Kumar Reddy Singareddy of TDP by a margin of 68,681 votes which was 46.84% of the total votes polled for the seat.
