The geographic coordinates of Srisailam Assembly constituency are: 15°44'03.5"N 78°40'26.8"E. Srisailam shares its borders with six other Assembly constituencies. Other Andhra Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Srisailam are: Yerragondapalem (SC), Giddalur, Allagadda, Panyam, Nandyal, Nandikotkur (SC). This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Telangana.

Demographic profile

There were a total of 1,94,425 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election, of which 95,365 were male, 99,017 female and 43 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 1,85,218 registered voters, of which 95,365 were male, 93,677 female and 39 of the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 1,83,963 registered voters in this constituency, of which 91,430 were male, 92,506 female and 27 of the third gender. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 1,48,226 which included 73,035 male, and 75,191 female.

The number of service voters in Assembly constituency was 424 in 2019, 311 in 2014 and 160 in 2009.

In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Silpa Chakrapani Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Budda Rajasekhara Reddy of TDP by a margin of 38,698 votes which was 25.35% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Budda Raja Sekhara Reddy of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Silpa Chakrapani Reddy of TDP by a margin of 4,861 votes which was 3.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Earasu Prathap Reddy of INC won this seat defeating Budda Rajasekhera Reddy of TDP by a margin of 4,307 votes which was 3.72% of the total votes polled for the seat.
