In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Silpa Chakrapani Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Budda Rajasekhara Reddy of TDP by a margin of 38,698 votes which was 25.35% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Budda Raja Sekhara Reddy of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Silpa Chakrapani Reddy of TDP by a margin of 4,861 votes which was 3.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Earasu Prathap Reddy of INC won this seat defeating Budda Rajasekhera Reddy of TDP by a margin of 4,307 votes which was 3.72% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Silpa Chakrapani Reddy of YSRCP had a vote share of 60.41% in this seat. In 2014, Budda Raja Sekhara Reddy of YSRCP secured a vote share of 50.09% in this constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Earasu Prathap Reddy of INC got a vote share of 42.7% in Srisailam.
