In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Bhim Kumar Singh of RJD won in this constituency beating Manoj Kumar of BJP by a margin of 35618 votes which was 19.28% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Manoj Kumar of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Doctor Ranvijay Kumar of JDU by a margin of 7672 votes which was 5.02% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dr Ranvijay Kumar of JDU won this seat defeating Ram Ayodhya Prasad Yadav of RJD by a margin of 694 votes which was 0.58% of the total votes polled for the seat.
