In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Moti Lal Prasad of BJP won in this constituency beating Amit Kumar of INC by a margin of 32495 votes which was 18.11% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Amit Kumar of INC was the winner in this seat beating Moti Lal Prasad of BJP by a margin of 22856 votes which was 14.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Motilal Prasad of BJP won this seat defeating Amit Kumar of INC by a margin of 22327 votes which was 18.3% of the total votes polled for the seat.
