In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Vinay Kumar of RJD won in this constituency beating Rajiv Nandan of BJP by a margin of 6599 votes which was 3.69% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Rajiv Nandan of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Ramchandra Prasad Singh of JDU by a margin of 6515 votes which was 4.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Surendra Prasad Sinha of BJP won this seat defeating Bindeshwari Prasad Yadav of RJD by a margin of 11436 votes which was 9.48% of the total votes polled for the seat.
