Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav

A senior and prominent leader of the main opposition party, RJD, Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav is contesting the 2025 Bihar assembly elections from the Jhajha constituency in Jamui district. Born in 1954 in Jamui, Yadav is a post graduate, holding MA and LLB degrees from Patna University. His political career is extensive, having served four terms as an MLA, with significant ministerial positions including portfolios of primary, secondary and adult education. He has been elected as a Lok Sabha MP from Munger and Banka and was the minister of state for water resources under the UPA I government.
