In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Gunjeshwar Sah of JDU won in this constituency beating Gautam Krishna of RJD by a margin of 1630 votes which was 0.93% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Dr Abdul Ghafoor of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Chandan Kumar Sah of BLSP by a margin of 26135 votes which was 17.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dr Abdul Gafoor of RJD won this seat defeating Raj Kumar Sah of JDU by a margin of 1717 votes which was 1.46% of the total votes polled for the seat.
