In 2015, Birendra Kumar Sinha of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Chandra Bhushan Verma of BLSP by a margin of 11396 votes which was 7.09% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Somprakash Singh of IND won this seat defeating Pramod Singh Chadravanshi of JDU by a margin of 802 votes which was 0.62% of the total votes polled for the seat.
