In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Sita Murmu of JMM won in this constituency beating Suresh Murmu of BJP by a margin of 2,426 votes which was 01.69% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Sita Murmu Alias Sita Soren of JMM was the winner in this seat beating Suresh Murmu of BJP by a margin of 2,306 votes which was 1.72% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Sita Soren of JMM won this seat defeating Manoj Kumar Singh of BJP by a margin of 12,706 votes which was 12.96% of the total votes polled for the seat.
