In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Kishun Kumar Das of BJP won in this constituency beating Manoj Kumar Chandra of AJSUP by a margin of 10,996 votes which was 05.41% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Ganesh Ganjhu of JVM was the winner in this seat beating Sujeet Kumar Bharati of BJP by a margin of 15,640 votes which was 8.47% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Jai Prakash Singh Bhogta of JVM won this seat defeating Ganesh Ganjhu of JMM by a margin of 8,025 votes which was 6.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
