In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 2,00,776 registered voters, of which 99,694 were male, 1,03,335 female and 33 of the third gender. In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Saluga Pradhan of BJD won in this constituency beating Shyamaghana Pradhan of INC by a margin of 11,261 votes which was 8.17% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jacob Pradhan of INC was the winner in this seat beating Pradeep Kumar Pradhan of BJD by a margin of 10,289 votes which was 8.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Manoj Kumar Pradhan of BJP won this seat defeating Ajayanti Pradhan of INC by a margin of 23,935 votes which was 23.36% of the total votes polled for the seat.
